Natural, Everyday Makeup Look

I remember this was requested ages ago. I'm sorry I took so long to do this. I procrastinate way too much.

Hope you enjoy!

Night out :)

Hello, my lovelies.

Love this look I created, because I used my new MAC Stars 'n' Rockets eyeshadow (my favorite one so far) on the browbone. It's the lovely purple color you can see. It's amazing and shimmery and reflects so many different purples. It's going to be mentioned a LOT in future posts, I can sense it.

Hope you like!

purple.

Created a purple themed look. I realized some people find it hard to wear purple without looking like they got punched in the eye. That's where I come in! :)
Here is the eye look-

I have a tutorial for you, now. Hope it helps!

1.

  • Prime your eye. I used Two Faced's Shadow Insurance.
  • Darken your eyebrows.
2.

  • Using a berry purple eyeliner, draw a line in the direction of your eyebrows, almost as if you would join it but stop halfway.
3.

  • Using the same liner, draw a line in your crease, stopping before the inner corner.
4.

  • Apply a light rose pink all over 2/3rd of the lid.
5.

  • Apply a warm pink all over that, but stopping a little more than halfway into the lid.

6.

  • Using the same eye liner, draw the outline of a larger wing, extending it further than the eyebrows. The previously draw 'V' should be kept intact. (I drew the wing later because I wanted the 'V' to be visible when I was filling in the darker purple)
  • Fill it in with a berry purple shadow, following the shape of the 'V' but blending away the sharp edges.

7.

  • Using a darker purple, go over the wing but stop 2/3rd in. blend with the remaining berry purple.
We're now finally done with purples and pinks. So far, starting from the inner, it is a light pink, a warm pink, a berry purple and a dark purple, respectively. Make sure they're blended seamlessly.

8.
  • Blend in a yellow in the inner corner. Blend it in the light pink really well, or it looks harsh. (In this image, I hadn't blended it very well. Later, I realized my error and blended it in further. But I'd advise you to blend it in well from the start.
  • Using upward sweeping motions, fade yellow out from the top of the wing, make sure to blend it upwards, and not get any on the purple wing.

9.

  • Line your eyes. (I used a gel liner)
  • Create an eyeliner wing along the line of the purple shadow wing. Like a miniature wing inside  a wing. Wing-ception!
10.

  • Apply false lashes and mascara, and you're done with the eyes!
11.  Face: I used a dark berry purple to define my cheekbones, and applied a rose pink blush right above that, and a peachy pink on my cheekbones.

12. Lips: Black Lipstick, with berry purple blended into the center of my lips.

Don't they look awesome?

All done! :)

Hope you liked it!

P.s. This isn't wearable, fi you haven't noticed already. Well, maybe the eyes, if you tone them down a little. Does anything want another eye look similar to this but wearable?

Rainbows!

You know what's always fun?
Rainbows!

Since it's raining and everything, I expected a rainbow to pop up out of the sky.
...But nope.
NO RAINBOWS.
I mean, the second it starts raining, the sun goes and hides. What's the damned fun in rain, if there aren't any rainbows?!
Afte days of staring out the window hoping to glimpse a rainbow, while my mind was screaming "DAMNED SKY! Start pooping rainbows already!", I finally gave up.

Instead, I decided to make my own rainbow.
So I called up Amy (In case you don't remember her - diligent Zara worshipper... Remember her now? Good.) And made her come to my house as quick as she could, because we needed to make rainbows.
(The quickest she could come was Friday. So I sat on my ass for two days deprived of my rainbow. Yes, she's EVIL.)
Here is Amy and me -
(I'm on the left, she's on the right. Bad lighting, yes, I know. But this was the only picture I could find of us where I wasn't baring my teeth and growling. I tend to do that a lot.)

So, anyway. She didn't know what i was talking about with creating a rainbow...
But when she got over, I told her... And she was as psyched about it as me... (Thank you, God, for giving me a friend who is as make up obsessed as I am) So we conjured up our very own rainbows!

Rainbow eyes!

Here is a close up of my eye -

And here is Amy's eye -

Don't we look rainbow-licious?

A shot of my eyes closed -

I'll tell you the products used, in case you want to recreate the look yourself. It's perfect to do just for fun - It's not wearable though! Unless you like dramatic eyes... Then go ahead :)

EYES
1. MAC's Hepcat
2. MAC's Chrome Yellow
3. MAC's Humid
4. Too Faced Natural Eye Palette - Silk Teddy
5. Too Faced Natural Eye Palette - Heaven
6. Too Faced Natural Eue Palette - Velvet Revolver
7. Lakme 'Peacock' Quad - the blue
8. Lakme 'Peacock' Quad - the green
9. Maybelline's 'Seashore Frosts' Quad - the blue
10. Maybelline's 'Seashore Frosts' Quad - the green
11. Maybelline's 'Seashore Frosts' Quad - the lilac
12. Any black pencil liner (for the water line and upper lash line)
13. MAC's Fluidline eye liner gel (used on the upper lid) in BlackTrack
14. Estée Lauder's Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara in Black

LIPS
1. MAC's Cremesheen Lipstick in Speak Louder
2. Any clear lipgloss. I used Maybelline's Water Shine Lipgloss

In the picture, I'm not wearing blush. But with this look, I'd wear - MAC's powder blush in Melba, or any other light shade, simply because the eyes and lips are dramatic, so I'd go with a light blush.
