My babies

Anyone who knows me, knows about my penchant for all things edgy.

I bought this pair of biker boots three years ago, and they were the trigger to said penchant. Those boots were loved for three good years. I'd planned on showin' em a lot more lovin'.... But I'd lost them four months ago. It was a terrible time of heartache and despair, as I tried to face the hurdles that life threw at me, without them.

And then, finally, today... They were found.

I was so happy I cried.

Yes. I genuinely cried.

In my defense, I have a lot of memories tied to these boots. They've stuck to me through thick and thin, and they are both a source of familiarity in the world of the unknown, and a token of luck in the many difficulties I face.

Neon Hitch.

I am strangely addicted to Neon Hitch. I have always loved her - she is my inspiration, with her wacky style, her individuality, and her and don't-fuck-with-me-but-love-me attitude.

She does some amazing covers, completely revamping them and adding a personal touch.

This is my favorite. She covered Gucci Gucci by Kreyshawn.

Her latest original song, Gold, is amazing, but the music video is what makes me love it the most - It is so creative!

Disclaimer: This video does not belong to me.

Neon Shatter

Shatter is my go-to mani for when I don't have a ton of time to pretty up my nails, and neon is just...neon. Epic neon.

I apologize for the poor quality of the photo, my iphone camera keeps getting worse and worse

Tattoos.

I am addicted to tattoos.

I was warned this woud happen, and it has.

There is something strangely appealing about the adrenaline rush I get when I am seated in that chair, with the loud "bzzz" of the electronic needle pulsing in my ears, and the short sharp stings on my skin firing up every nerve in my body.

Some people look away, and I did as well at first. But then I began to watch, with a strange sense of awe and curiosity, as the sharp needle dipped into my skin, in and out, in and out, in and out, so fast it was near blurry.

And then when it was done, and my tattoo artist had wiped off all the oozing ink and blood, I saw that image that meant so much to me, permanently imprinted on my body - the pure joy that radiated through me then was unlike any other.

I want that feeling again. I crave it.

But, as usual, there is a problem. The next tattoo I planned out is huge. I am a major comic book fan, and as an ode to my fandom, I am going to get my three favorite comic book characters inked onto my calf, spanning entirely from my ankle to the back of my knees. It is going to have intense colour and detail.

(In case you're wondering, my three favorite characters are the Gotham City Sirens, on which I wrote a review you can view here.)

My father has, unhappily I presume, agreed to let me get this tattoo when I turn 21. The only condition is that until then, I get no more tattoos.

And so, considering my self-proclaimed addiction to ink, you can see why I am upset! ;)

Commenting.

I feel like I need to clear this one misconception about Blogger up - most people that follow my blog think that you cannot comment if you do not author a blog yourself.

That is incorrect.

If you click on the post title and scroll down to the bottom, there will be a feature that allows you to comment.

You do not need a blog, or even a blogger account for that matter, to post a comment.

In fact, you can even comment anonymously.
(Although I'd appreciate it if you put your name at the end, eg. -kim)

I hope this clears thing up for everyone!

Comment on this post with a "hello" and test it out ;)

Igatpuri!

I just got back from a school trip to Igatpuri. When I first hear that we would have to, *gasp*, trek, I nearly fell over. I am horribly unfit, and I strongly dislike events in which I must show the world that weakness of mine.
The trek was horrible and I complained throughout. On one of the treks, I actually made my bus wait for 20 minutes because I took so long getting back. But some parts of it were surprisingly fun. For instance, I bonded with a ton of people. I'm definitely more comfortable around my classmates and shared a few heart-to-hearts.

The ex boyfriend and I had a bit of a fall-out (aka him pretending I don't exist for unknown reasons), but I've lost count of our many fall-outs over the years so it was barely a blip on my radar. But while it didn't bother me per se, I can't deny that I spent a fair amount of time wondering what goes through his head.

Other than that little complication, everything was great (besides the fact that I scraped up my hands because of all my slips and falls). In case you're wondering, I only fell because we were trekking and I am horribly unfit, not because I am a klutz. Although those two are related... Holy crap. Am I klutz?

Anyway! A few highlights of the trip:

  1. I tried to catch a chicken but I failed.
  2. I was bare-faced.
  3. I discovered that I have feelings for someone completely unattainable. (Oh, unrequited love, please don't bother me this year.)
  4. I did my friend's nails.
  5. I bonded with a ton of classmates, as well as seniors.
  6. I managed to not die.
  7. I had an epiphany.
  8. I danced *gasp*
  9. I made some new best friends.
  10. I managed to not get in trouble for "inappropriate" clothing.
  11. I did not break a single nail. (although there was a fair amount of chipping. Damn rocks.)
  12. I broke out like a motherfucker. Change of climate really makes my skin horrible.
  13. I somehow survived without wifi.
  14. I spent majority of my time in pajamas. Yes, I even went to dinner in pajamas. I'm that cool.

All in all, it was great trip, and I can't wait to go for it again next year.
